KashmirHelp : At the time of this natural disaster of the worst ever flashflood in Jammu and Kashmir, this independent initiative involves aggregating public information on the Web and Social Media by the online volunteers in collaboration with reliable on-ground local efforts of voluntary organizations.
Our goal is to support update on priority needs for relief, donation collection centers, and donation transportation logistics for public awareness on what to help via donations, where and how, and therefore, avoid mismatching of what is needed vs. what is offered. Voluntary and local organizations have been instrumental in setup for updating on the priorities, donation collection centers, preparing kits for shipments, receiving, and our collaboration is to support their commendable local efforts.
Dreamz Foundation is a non-governmental development organization that works for the appropriate development of urban and rural areas in India and specially take care of vulnerable communities and sensitive ecosystems. We reach the benefits of development to the most remote and least developed regions, delivering an array of development services to isolated and underserved communities, and building their capacity to help themselves. We also research and support reform of programs and policies, and advise and train development actors, in order to spur development action in these regions.
The organization was set up with a concern for last-mile communities neglected and marginalized in the development process, and unique ecosystems (frequently the two converge) that suffer the destruction brought about by overuse of resources and inappropriate development. Today we have reached out to remote regions and isolated communities in other continents in our drive to address the development needs of all such areas and peoples in the world.
Mission: Our mission is to create an equitable and just world where everybody has good opportunity and options for growth and development. Dreamz Foundation believes that the development of a region needs to be closely attuned to its unique culture and geographical as well as socio-economic conditions of the people. Our interventions combine development and conservation activities, addressing people’s core needs while also helping to preserve the rich heritage of the region. Appropriate technologies are infused, blending them with the traditional knowledge of the communities.
